duplicate. SEASPENSION® can be used as a stand-alone solo post, as a dual post bench seat, or as a tripod bolster seat. Our innovative shock-absorbing pedestals are designed to retrofit most boats which currently have conventional rigid posts. The SEASPENSION® Solo Post are designed to bolt directly to your existing universal slider or spider slider combination. This means you can keep your current hardware and seat. For boaters who have a leaning post or other type of bench seat, we offer independent suspension in each Post (minimum of two required) for the optimum ride. Off-shore, go-fast boaters have the option to install either a sit-down-only, or a drop-down bolster in a tripodal configuration. Go ahead, Sit Down and Enjoy the Ride! A few basic things to know before you order:
- Determine whether you need a Solo, Bench or Tripod pedestal.
- On your Solo pedestal, do you want to retain your existing fore/aft slider or spider/slider
-Existing fore/aft sliders need the Standard model
-Existing 2 7/8" Spider swivels require the Spider model
If "No" then:
May we suggest ordering the Spider model if you are ordering new hardware, with perhaps a new seat. We recommend the Garelick Spider/Slider Millenium 2000 (part # 21000) for easy installation. No orientation required on the base or spider mounting.
Tripod bolsters require consultation with us due to the many options available.
All models require height measurement taken from the deck surface to the bottom of the seat. Go to the Model listing below to find the corresponding height for your Post selection. Please measure before calling or ordering.
Optimum operating weight range is 140-275 lbs of seated weight per Post. Please call us if you have applications outside this weight range.
All pedestals have a shock travel of 3 ½ inches for optimal performance and safety. The shock-absorber has a stainless steel progressively rated coil-over spring and has proprietary valving for both compression and rebound strokes. That means that the initial compression is relatively soft and gets progressively stiffer. The damper valving senses the speed by which the unit compresses, so it can do its job properly. No Pogo stick here!
