California's waterways are a great place to enjoy the state's gentler climate, diverse wildlife, and excellent fishing. However, the winds and waves in the Pacific Northwest, Southern California, and Northern California may cause significant difficulties for fishing. And that’s where our essential Seaspension shock-absorbing boat seat pedestal comes in. Seaspension seat pedestals ensure a smooth ride, regardless of the weather or sea conditions.
Extremely rough seas are possible at certain times of the year. It's possible to encounter waves and swells of up to four feet in height in certain parts of California. We know these popular destinations tend to get crowded quickly, so it's best to check the forecast before setting out. It's possible to go boating all over the state's northern half, although the tides are significantly stronger there, making it difficult for smaller vessels to maintain control. While cruising in the state's southern regions can be rewarding, strong winds in these areas can cause havoc to your boat and passengers. That’s why many of our boater friends rely on our innovative and advanced technology of Seaspension to stay safe, steady, and stable out on the waves.
Seaspension pedestal system works by isolating your boat seats from the impact of waves and other choppy waters, reducing the roll and pitch of your boat and allowing you to experience a smooth and stable ride. Our patented pedestal system uses a combination of shock-absorbing mounts and flexible isolators to minimize the impact created by the waves. You also get more comfort and convenience while on the water, giving you a longer and more enjoyable experience.
Our Seaspension systems are built with marine-grade construction materials and are designed to last a lifetime. The pedestals are easy to install; simply bolt them on, and you’re ready to enjoy a smooth ride while fishing.
Dennis Spiller From Arroyo Grande, CA, Recently Installed Seaspension in Parker 2320 SC
I received the Seaspension on Tuesday and installed it that night. Went for a 120 mile fishing trip the next Thursday and it worked fabulous! Many thanks and what a great product!
Here Is What John B. Has to Say About Seaspension
Extremely glad I bought the Seaspension. It has improved the ride at the helm so much that I now have to consider my passenger comfort as I feel a lot less of the bumps. Going out of the Golden Gate through the potato patch used to be grueling. The Seaspension absorbe much of the pounding it makes it a very doable crossing. In general we are in rough seas here and I would not go out nearly as much without the comfort. My 80 year old body feels the difference. Thanks.
Brant McG., Pomona, CA, Says Seaspension Has Made Fishing in 2006 Ranger 2000 Bay Comfortable
Almost a year ago I spoke with you about putting Seaspension in my Ranger here in Southern California. You sold me a pair, and for the last 6 months the boat has never been more comfortable to run. I run from Long Beach to Catalina Island almost once a week fishing. I fish all of the Salt Water Bass Anglers (SWBA) tournaments which are team tournaments. My partner and I pre-fish every weekend there is not a tournament. My partner wants me to put in seatbelts so he can sleep on the way over.
David J. Thinks That Seaspension Products Are Top Notch
Seaspension makes the most robust product of it’s class. I have one and have seen and used the competition and they are sorely lacking in quality. Don’t let a few bucks in price lead you astray. The Seaspension® product is the best in it’s class. I have a 28 foot Parker that I run offshore out of San Diego, CA. and I can testify to it’s quality and durability. You won’t be sorry with the product.
No More Back Problems for Dr. Rick R., Sun Valley ID/Dana Point, CA
I have a Parker 2120 SC that I fish both off the Washington coast ( really nasty weather ) and So Calif offshore. I am 74 and have had lower back problems for 20 years. When I first got my new boat, I knew I had found the perfect fishing platform for chasing tuna down south and salmon up
north. The only problem was the pounding my body took on those long offshore runs. Sixty mile offshore runs were very common. I found it difficult to do back to back trips due to the pain I experienced. I researched various suspension seat systems and settled on the Seaspension post. The installation took about 10 minuets without issues. Delivery was prompt. Wow…what a difference…no more pain. I am on the water five days a week when in So Cal for three months in the fall.…couldn’t do that without your shock absorbing seat post. My Seaspension is six years old and looks and functions as it did when I installed it. As you know, Parker now offers the
Seaspension helm seat post as a factory option. I have ordered a new Parker 2320 SC and know I have a couple of shock absorbing seat posts options but will stick with the Seaspension post as it has proven itself over the long haul. Thank you again!
Choppy and deep-water California habitats offer a unique range of fish, including halibut, yellowtail, bass, rockfish, and sharks. Off Long Beach, the SF Bay Area, San Diego, Bodega Bay, Yerba Buena Island, Greyhound Rock, Catalina Island, and Samoa State Marine Conservation Area, you'll find some of the best deep sea fishing in all of California. We imagine the deep ocean to be silent and frigid. However, the resistance of the water at great depths and the occasional large waves in these regions might easily shake your seats. Thankfully, Seaspension’s combination of mounts and isolators also provides a soft cushion against the waves, ensuring that the impact of the waves does not jolt you.
If you’re in California, don’t miss the opportunity to check out the latest products from Seaspension at the Pacific Coast Sportfishing Show. Seaspension will have a booth in the Hangar Building at the Orange County Fairgrounds from March 2nd to 5th. You can also catch a look at our pedestal installed on a Parker with our friends at West Coast Marine located in the Costa Mesa Building. It’s a great chance to discover how our systems can help you enjoy a day of fishing with the confidence of knowing you can stay out longer and go further in comfort.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience smoother and safer fishing in the choppy waters of California. Take advantage of back-to-back fishing trips without the pain and soreness that comes the day after. Experience the Seaspension difference now and you will wonder how you ever survived a day on the water without it.
