May we suggest ordering the Spider model if you are ordering new hardware, with perhaps a new seat? We recommend the Garelick Spider/Slider Millenium 2000 (part # 21000) for easy installation. No orientation is required on the base or spider mounting.
These units are designed to be mounted to a universal flat-bottomed slider for fore and aft movement. It has a square 6.5x6.5 inch flat top with universal mounting holes at each corner. The Post swivels 360° with an auto lock forward-facing feature. Proper orientation is required for installation. The round base is a standard 8 1/4” 6-hole bolt pattern with 9 1/4” OD.

These shock-absorbing pedestals are our best-seller and are designed to accept your spider/slider which fits over a 2-7/8” OD standard pedestal tube. This allows 360° swiveling. The round base is a standard 9-¼” OD with a 6-hole bolt pattern. The proper operating range is between 140 -275 lbs total seated weight. Please consult the factory for heavier or other special applications.

The two independently operating shock-absorbing pedestals are designed to function properly even when two occupants of different weights are seated. For benches over 48” or heavy-duty applications, three pedestals are recommended. Posts are sold separately or in combination with a custom seat made to the desired seat length, width, color, and type of material. Please consult the factory for your special applications. We recommend flat-sided bases for the outside bench posts to minimize the total footprint. Flat-sided bases measure 9-¼” fore and aft and 6” in width.
Heights
This Low Profile model is designed with all the same features and technology you have come to expect from our Standard Solo pedestals. The advantage of our Low Profile models is that they offer the lowest heights above the deck or mounted atop a box, with the same travel stroke, strength, and swiveling action. The requirement to mount is a 5.25-inch round hole and space below the deck or inside the box. Mount your slider atop the 6.5 x 6.5-inch plate with a standard bolt pattern and/or mount your seat directly to the plate if it accommodates a universal 5.25-inch square bolt-hole pattern. We carry a Low Profile Slider that adds only 1.25 inches to the height.
Heights
This non-swivel Low Profile post mounts the same as the swivel version. Without the need for swiveling hardware, this non-swiveling version allows boaters to benefit from the same travel stroke and strength you have come to expect from all Seaspension pedestals while achieving the lowest possible height above deck or mounted atop a box. Requirements to mount are a 5.25-inch round hole and space below the deck or inside the box. You may also add a Low Profile Slider that adds 1.25 inches to the height. If swiveling action is a must, you can purchase a Low Profile swivel/slider from us to add to our lowest 6” post. This swivel/slider adds 1.62 inches to the height yet still achieves the industry’s first lowest profile hydraulic dampening system available to recreational boaters.
